An evening of photography began with this flash of meteoric brilliance in the twilight sky above Grand Mesa, Colorado, USA. The vocal creatures that thrive at this small seasonal lake seemed undisturbed by my presence. Perhaps they were remarking about the beauty of the night sky from this grandest of earthly mesas.
