The Milky Way emerges from nearby city light in the Brittany of France. In the foreground is the Paimpont Abbey, originally from the 13th century and transformed through the time. The bright point in the middle right is Saturn. On the upper right bright star Arcturus is notable. From the photographer: "The silhouette of the building was nicely highlighted by the illuminated cirrus clouds at the horizon." Click on the constellation icon above the image to see a vertical image of this scene which shows a longer extension of the summer Milky Way. Laurent Laveder,
