From the photographer: "The planets Jupiter, Venus and Mercury were all visible during evening twilight on May 25, 2013. This was part of a several-week-long triple planetary alignment as all three bright planets appeared together in the evening sky. In this view Jupiter, Venus and Mercury appear from left to right. The Chirichaua Mountains in the southern Arizona form the horizon." Click on the constellation icon above the image to see the planets above this scene two nights later on May 27.
