In this starry image from the Atacama Desert in Chile, the southern Milky Way appears on the left, the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds (our neighboring satellite galaxies) are above Cerro Paranal Observatory, and two bright comets appears on the right in the morning twilight. Comet PanSTARRS (C/2011 L4) is right at horizon and comet Lemmon (C/2012 F6) is higher up in the sky. Click on the constellation above the image to see a closer view of this unique double-comet scene or you can zoom in to this view here. Stephane Guisard, Sguisard.astrosurf.com
