In a starry night of la Palma, Canary islands, telescopes at Roque de los Muchachos Observatory at 2400 meters above see level are exploring the cosmos. There are about a dozen major telescopes on this excellent observing site including the 3.6 meter TNG (Telescopio Nazionale Galileo, belongs to Italy) appeared in this image. The yellow-orange glow at the horizon is airglow, the faint natural glow of the Earth upper atmosphere, only appears at dark locations. Click on the constellation icon above the image to see a closer image of the telescope and the night sky where a streaking meteor appears above the observatory. Babak Tafreshi,
