As appeared on the National Geographic News a bright meteor streaks the night sky over Lumby, British Columbia, Canada. Vega, the brightest star of constellation Lyra, is visible on the right. Click on the star-pattern icon above the image to see a wider-angle photo that captured the same meteor. On this view a green cast of aurora is visible at the northern horizon.
