Date: 2011 May 14

During May 2011, skywatchers have been treated to a rare alignment of planets, in the early morning twilight. Jupiter, Mars, Venus and Mercury have all were visible in the morning twilight. Three of the planets formed a beautiful triangle as photographed above Perth, the capital city of Western Australia. The highest is Jupiter. Venus is the brightest and Mercury lies at its right.
