When fog goes down in the World Heritage Sagarmatha National Park of Nepal, spectacular view of Himalayas appears under the starry sky. This long-exposure image made by a film camera has captured the colorful stars of Orion and Gemini rising above the Himalayas. On the left Ama Dablam (6812m) with its outstanding shape is notable. Note the twin bright stars of Gemini just above it. On the right side Thamserku is the closer mountain in the view (6623m) which sits down below the rising Orion. Sagarmatha National Park contains a magnificent part of Himalayas and the southern half of Mount Everest. In fact the park varies in altitude from lowest point of 2845 m to 8850 m at the summit of Everest. Sagarmatha is a Sanskrit word, from sagar = "sky" and māthā = "head", and is the modern Nepali name for Mount Everest. Oshin Zakarian/Dreamview.net
