In a starry night of Himalayas the Beehive Star Cluster (M44) in the constellation Cancer rises above Ama Dablam (6812 meters); one of the most scenic mountains of Himalaya and of the most difficult to climb. Located in the World Heritage Sagarmatha National Park, Ama Dablam means "Mother's neclace"; the long ridges on each side like the arms of a mother (ama) protecting her child, and the hanging glacier thought of as the dablam, the traditional double-pendant containing pictures of the gods, worn by Sherpa women.
