Time-lapse video: As this late summer night begins with a long twilight over
Hessdalen in the central Norway the colorful display of aurora begins in the starry sky. As noted by the photographer "After four month of bright nights the Northern Lights reappear in the Norwegian night sky. But the sunlight is not far away and creates a long lasting nightfall and dawn. A strong wind was blowing and painted floating patterns on a mountain lake in the valley of Hessdalen. The region is famous for the Hessdalen Light phenomenon, a mystery still unsolved, although extensive scientific research has been performed.” Bernd Proschold/Sternstunden.net
