ISS and Discovery over British Columbia By: Yuichi Takasaka |
Region: Americas Site: British Columbia - Canada Date: April 2010 | |||

In this early morning photo from the British Columbia, Canada, TWAN photographer used a wide angle lens to make a series of photos toward the northern sky. Stacking them on one image created this longer accumulated exposure shot. The purpose was to capture both the Space Shuttle Discovery and International Space Station crossing the sky. Discovery left the station two days before this view and prepared to land on the Earth after two weeks. The shuttle first passed the view and 7 minutes later the ISS appeared much brighter.
