The thin crescent moon at the end of the lunar month rises in the morning twilight sky of Alamut Valley in Iran. The Moon was in conjunction with the Pleiades star cluster (upper right) on this morning. The prominent peak of Alborz Mountains which is pictured here is Mount Sialan (4200 m).
