Aboard the Aranui 3 cruise ship and near to French Polynesia scattered islands in the Pacific Ocean, the total solar eclipse of 11 July 2010 lasted over 4 minutes. Observing from the deck of the ship was a challenge with passing clouds but the ship was guided away from the clouds and the eclipsed sun appeared in an open window. Dennis Mammana/Dennismammana.com
