Sky above Tired Sycamore By: Tunc Tezel |

In this early morning all-sky view Lake Uluabat in Turkey, The Milky Way reaches the zenith where the three bright stars of the Summer Triangle are visible. On the eastern horizon (left) the crescent Moon rises and Jupiter is notable to its right. As noted by the photographer "I was located in Gölyazi village (an ancient Roman site named Apollonia), 40 km west of Bursa. I was besides a huge tree known as Aglayan Cinar (or Tired Sycamore), a piece of living history over 700 years old with a huge set of leaves covering 400 square meters!" See this view in Virtual Reality. Tunc Tezel
