Home to billions of stars, our galactic island, the Milky Way, shines above a young couple of sky watchers. The bright red star Antares of constellation Scorpius is visible on right end, while the central bulge of the Milky Way is to its left in the constellation Sagittarius. This bright region looks toward the center of our galaxy. The band of Milky Way continues left-ward to the constellation Aquila and Cygnus, where the dark dust line (the dust in the galactic disc blocking starlight) becomes broader to make a giant dark feature known as the Great Rift. It also includes the Cygnus Rift which is the left half of the rift in this view. Amir Abolfath - Torgheh.ir/en
