When this virtual reality video loads you can “feel” how it looks being under starry sky in the southern France. The flash animation is made of an all-sky image from southwestern France. The sky above this lonely tree demonstrates the northern hemisphere winter Milky Way, arching from one horizon to the other. The cone-shape glow on the left is the zodiacal light (sunlight reflection from dust in the solar system plane), easily visible above the western horizon. It almost reaches the arch of the Milky Way.
