Using a tripod and digital SLR camera (a basic equipment) an astrophotographer captures beauties of the cosmos above the horizon of planet Earth. Notable in this image from Maranjab desert of Iran are the constellations Orion (right) and Canis Major (left) with Sirius, the brightest star of our night-time.
