In a moonlit night of Nepal Himalayas, bright star Capella, the sixth brightest in the night sky, rises above the top of the world, Mt. Everest (8848 meters). To the right is Mt. Lhotse, the world's 4th highest mountain (8516 m). A stupa (a Buddhist religious monument) is also visible in the foreground, along the main trail to the Everest Base Camp. The first bright star at the upper right of Capella is the mysterious eclipsing binary star Epsilon Aurigae is imaged here during its 2-year long eclipse that happens every 27 years. Babak Tafreshi
