Gegenschein and airglow recorded in a dark sky. As noted by the photographer "On the morning of October 10th, 2007, I was enjoying the crystalline skies overspreading the 24th annual Okie-Tex Star Party, and decided to make a photograph of the Gegenschein as it slowly moved toward setting on the Black Mesa. Invisible to the naked eye, a display of red airglow was already in progress, and the camera recorded its red ripples caused by the upward propagation of gravity waves. Also, three geosynchronous satellites were picked up as well. These satellite images were a first on". Doug Zubenel
