In a clear winter night the river of the Milky Way flows above a lonely tree in Alamut Valley of Iran. From bottom to top the prominent constellations at the right side of the Milky Way are Canis Major or the Big Dog with the dazzling star Sirius, Orion or the Hunter, Taurus or the Bull with the famous Pleiades or the Seven Sister star cluster, near to the top left edge of the image.
