From the photographer: "A timeless beauty, three peaks side by side, isolated from all others, pure dolomite that emerges from a sea of gravel, the Tre Cime di Lavaredo is one of the world's most famous natural wonders, both in mountaineering with the Cima Grande which is one of the classic walls north of the Alps (2,999 m), and at a monumental level. Me and my partner are both great lovers of mountains, hiking, and night photography. On the evening of August 9, 2019, we decided to take an excursion to photograph the conjunction of Moon and Jupiter. We reached the Auronzo refuge by car. At 11.30 pm the conjunction moved to the right of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo as you see here. On the left you see the Antonio Locatelli refuge (in German Dreizinnenhütte) in Tre Cime di Lavaredo natural park. On the right is an alpine church."
