From the photographer: "The image was taken on Pangong Lake, which is the world's highest saltwater lake at ~14,270 feet (4350 m) above sea level. Mars is seen shining brightly on the left hand side as the galactic core descends behind the snow capped Himalayan peaks."
Technical details: Panorama of three images. Sony A7S2. each image 15mm ISO 6400, 28mm, f/2.8, 15 sec shutter speed.
