Observing the Winter Milky Way

Doi Samer Dao, Nan, Thailand

2016 October 28

From the photographer: "The Thai Astronomical Society organized a trip to Doi Samer Dao in Nan Province, Thailand, where members were provided with views of planets and deep sky objects through a telescope. But perhaps the nicest view was just stepping back from the telescope and taking in the view of the winter milky way flowing past Auriga, Taurus, Orion, Gemini, Canis Major and Minor... and the other winter sky constellations.
Technical Details: A single-exposure image, Canon 6D + 8-15mm f4@15mm f4, ISO8000, 30s"
