From the photographer: "On 2016 September 29, a wonderful sky conjunction between planet Mercury and the Moon occurred. The Solar System’s innermost planet appears here just a day after its greatest elongation from the Sun. The thin waning crescent Moon shines above the Italian Medicina Radio Astronomical Station. It was recorded during a colorful nautical twilight – 04:29 am UTC. What a majestic view!
Technical details: Nikon D750 – focal length: 60mm f/2.8 (used at f/4.0) - exposure: 1,0 sec – ISO: 100"
