The End of Winter Time

By: Jean-Luc Dauvergne

Jökulsárlón, Iceland

2016 April 9

From the photographer: "Jökulsárlón is one of the most famous places in Iceland with all the iceberg coming from the bigger glacier of Europe going in this lake and then in the sea. Here we still see the light of dawn. It shows we are at the end of the winter. The twilight with the moon give a lot of color to the picture. This moment was magical, soon after the cloud came back, it was over. This glacier shows also the impact of global warming. In the past all the lake was full of ice! In fact the glacier touched the sea at this time.
Technical details: 2s, 14mm at f2.8, ISO2000, Sony 7s"
