From the photographer: "Mt. Emei is perhaps the most famous mountain in my hometown Sichuan, home to the first Buddhist temple in China. It is said that by the 3rd Century the Samantabhadra doctrine of Buddhism was dominant on Mount Emei. At that time the monks built the Golden summit. There are over 30 temples on the mountain, all in traditional style. Some of them are so gorgeous, reflecting that the Buddhism did once thrived there. The Samantabhadra is the name of the statue in the picture. In the Buddhism legends he spreads morality across the world, like the Themis in Greek mythology. "
