A Serenade of Oasis

By: Yang Zeng

Inner Mongolia, China

2014 July 25

Imaged during the 2014 Star party of Sichuan astronomy club, appears here is a silent starry night of Tengger desert in China. The central bulge of the Milky way in constellations Sagittarius and Scorpius is on the left and the bright planet Saturn is on the right. Tengger desert is one of the four biggest deserts in China, with hundreds of oasis. In this oasis’s night view, both Antares (the Scorpion's heart) and planet Saturn are beautifully reflected in the calm waters."
