Qinghai, China

2013 October 4

In a clear night of fall, Stars and nebulae of the autumn nights rise above the Delinha observatory in Qinghai province of China. Imaged with a modified DSLR camera, This scene shows constellation Auriga and the bright star Aldebaran in the Bull's eye near the horizon. Higher in the sky is the famous Pleiades star cluster and the red patch of California Nebula in Perseus. Click on the constellation icon above the image to recognize stars and nebulae in this view. Notable in the image is the yellow and green airglow in the background sky.
