Two Different Lights

By: Jeff Dai

Chongqing, China

2012 August 19

From the photographer: "At this pre-dawn moment on Mount Jinfo national forest park of China, the cosmos and civilization make a magnificent light show together. The city lights from Nanchuan (1600m below) dominates the skyline on the left, dyeing the sky purple, while the cone-shaped glow of zodiacal light shines over the right side. A truly great demonstration of Human vs. Nature. Continue this fading light along the ecliptic, as it passing through the bright Venus and Jupiter. The Milky Way is also recorded from Cygnus to Orion over the two different lights."
