From the photographer: "I first read about the rare zodiacal lights on spaceweather.com and had to see if I could see them where I live. Amazingly, they were there! a hint could be seen with the naked eye and I was able to 'gather their light' in a time exposure. I'm standing on the iced-over break wall at the Pt. Betsie Lighthouse north of Frankfort, MI, on Lake Michigan." - Ken Scott
