Turin, Italy 2009 June 24 | |||
|
From the photographer: "This picture shows the young crescent moon, a few minutes before setting behind the Alps mountains, and the Mole Antonelliana dome, symbol of Turin. This monument (167,5 meters high) is named after the architect who built it, Alessandro Antonelli. It houses the National Museum of Cinema that is believed to be the tallest museum in the world. The picture was taken on June 24, 2009, the celebration day of San Giovanni (or St. John), the patron Saint of the city." - Stefano De Rosa
