Delhi, India

2004 November 10

In an early November morning at Delhi, the bright planet Venus is captured very close to the crescent Moon while planet Jupiter is only 5 degrees above them. The photo is taken only few minutes after a lunar occultation of Venus. The India Gate in the foreground is a war memorial in New Delhi commemorating the Indian dead of the First World War.
