Sorry I didn't see this sooner. While the camera was running to shoot the sequence where I caught the meteor and then stacked the rest of the sequence for star trails, I had another camera down in the valley shooting up at the Chapel. With this camera, I used a powerful flashlight to light the side and back of the church for the long lens. This must be the light that AEG was seeing.

AEG, in the star trail version the photographer has probably illuminated the chapel in one or more shots of the sequence, or it might be illuminated by passing cars.

Both images are beautiful! Can someone explain to me why the lighting is different on the chapel between the two? On the first, the bell enclaves are in shadow, and in the second, they are lit from the left and up.
